About the Annual Meeting

You are encouraged to participate in the cooperative process by voting for the board of directors. Each year a meeting is held for the primary purpose of allowing our members to come together and vote for an individual who lives in their service territory to represent them on our board. Directors meet monthly to establish policy, vote on operating procedures and do strategic planning. This is the cooperative principle and allows our member- owners, to have a direct impact on their electric company. The directors serve a three-year term and are elected on a rotating cycle.

The Annual Meeting also gives the employees and directors of the LaGrange County REMC a chance to say ‘thank you’ and show our appreciation for their business.
